We're looking for a dedicated QA Tester to join our technology team. Someone with unrivalled level of attention to detail and a passion for best practice. 

Your role will be crucial in guaranteeing web applications are functional, user-friendly, and free of defects. You’ll work closely with our development and design teams to deliver exceptional user experiences to our clients. And you’ll join a friendly, growing team at one of the UK’s longest-established agencies.  

What you'll be doing

  • Perform thorough testing of websites and web applications across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Identify, record, and track bugs using bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback.
  • Conduct functional, regression, usability, and performance testing to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that web applications comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results, issues, and testing activities.
  • Participate in regular meetings and provide status updates on testing progress and results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web testing and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in website testing or a similar quality assurance role.
  • Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Ghost Inspector or Selenium
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Familiarity with various testing frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
  • Experience with mobile web application testing.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing and tools.
  • Knowledge of API testing with tools like Postman
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of web security testing practices.
