Human Rights statement
At Proctor + Stevenson, we believe everyone should be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
We are committed to respecting human rights throughout our business, our work and our relationships with the people and organisations we work with. This commitment applies to our own operations and, where we have influence, across our wider value chain.
Our approach is guided by internationally recognised principles and standards. We commit to respecting:
- The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
- The rights set out in the International Bill of Human Rights, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- The International Labour Organisation's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
In practice, this means respecting fundamental rights at work, including freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, and supporting the elimination of forced or compulsory labour, child labour and discrimination in employment and occupation. We also recognise the fundamental right to a safe and healthy working environment.
We expect the same respect for people and their rights from those we choose to work with.
We recognise that respecting human rights is an ongoing responsibility. We will continue to consider how our operations, services and business relationships could affect people, take reasonable steps to prevent or mitigate negative impacts, and act where issues connected with our business are identified.
This commitment sits alongside our wider responsibilities as a business, including our Modern Slavery Statement, our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion, and our commitments through Proctors Pledge.
For us, responsible business starts with people. And treating people properly isn't optional.
