We say YES to supporting our employee’s mental health
We recognise that mental health challenges can affect anyone, at any time
"One of our core values is taking care of each other, so prioritising the well-being of our employees and ensuring they are heard and supported is really important to us."
– Ailsa Billington, Managing Director
The Covid-19 pandemic brought about a significant shift in the working world, placing mental health and well-being at the forefront of workplace conversations.
Because mental health challenges can affect anyone, at any time, we take care to foster a work environment where employees feel empowered to ask for the support they need – and ensure they receive it.
To this end, we have trained mental health first-aid responders within our team who are ready to offer support and connect colleagues with the appropriate resources when needed.
Boosting our work–life balance
In 2023, we took a bold step forward by introducing a four-day working week. Every one of our employees plays a vital role in making Proctor + Stevenson the vibrant company it is today. So listening to and valuing their input is central to our mission. This change reflects our commitment to making their well-being a priority.
Generating a positive working culture that promotes creativity and innovation, while also allowing employees more time to pursue what they love, is something we consider essential.
Thinking beyond our business
As part of our commitment to well-being outside our own organisation, we partnered with Off the Record (OTR), a mental health movement led by and for young people.
Together, we created an animated video to encourage donations during the Christmas period. Reflecting on the global impact the pandemic had on mental health throughout 2020 and 2021, and how it affected so many of us personally, we felt it was crucial to donate our services to a charity focused on well-being.
